Ensure that uniforms are spotless when you enter a public area.Make eye contact and smile at guests when in the dining room.Greet guests as soon as they enter, even if seating guests is not your responsibility. To create a good first impression of your business, you should: Dirty windows, a tattered menu, untidy service areas, spills on the buffet table, and less than pristine washrooms can create a negative impression. The appearance of the business itself is also part of creating a good first impression. If the host does not greet them politely when they first come in the door, they may feel that customer service is not a priority. If guests come into your restaurant and see you replacing the hot vegetables on the buffet while dressed in a stained or torn uniform, they may immediately jump to the conclusion that the restaurant staff is sloppy. A friendly smile, spotless premises, and an attractive menu creates a good first impression. You only get one chance for a good first impression (Figure 8). Once the perception is formed, even if it is faulty, it is very hard to change. These first impressions can colour the guest’s perception of the entire dining experience. In other words, these factors communicate a message to the guests about the business and its attitude to guests. When a guest enters your restaurant or food service establishment, the guest makes judgments about the business based on the appearance, grooming, posture, and courtesy of the staff, and the appearance of the business. Then you don't need to send 5 hours early, which mostly punishes the person you send to, as they have to manage crop that long.Workplace Communication and Teamwork 15 Strategies for Effective Communication First ImpressionsĪny business that provides customer service relies on good first impressions. Getting rid of the precision timing aspect is obvious as to why it is good.Īnd maybe only defense could be good as well. You also still wouldn't be able to queue buildings during that time you are offline. You still wouldn't be able to use this function to raid a lot, just have slightly better timing on one raid. I think if you can only use troops that are currently stationed in the village, you don't take too much of the advantage or being active away. You could go for no attacks, or only defense as well. I think with only using the troops that are in the village, and no precision timing, (maybe even have a few minute window, not just a few seconds) this could be a good idea. If you put a timer in, you remove the need for skill and practice. Using cutting waves as an example, this is a skill that has to be learned (which is why I had new players sending from multiple villages timed to same second) and practiced, Server lag is a factor and has to be tested. What I don't think would fit into Travian is something which allows a player to set up multiple wave attacks, raids, or reins timed to the second by logging in once a day. I think with a max delay of 2 hours, no same second waves or any other action (such as cutting waves) requiring precision timing, it might not take away from the game, like you said. This only helps with wheat management and since there would still be a 5-10 second variance in your landing time, it couldn't be used for sniping waves and would only be useful for getting your defense in place for the right time. I'd also be ok with a slightly bigger window for sending reinforcements.

I also think there needs to be a ~5-10 second swing in your time, so that you can't use it for precision hits - and you wouldn't see your exact landing time until the waves actually get sent out. I've done that too many times and it is a massive waste of my time. I'd be ok with a 1-2 hour delay option, so you don't find yourself sitting around for no reason other than you have to wait around for a launch window. I think the original idea is ok, but would need severe limitations put on it. I firmly believe this would benefit teamwork in this game very much. The timer to set up massive same second waves just add a random time modifier to every wave other than the delegated "first" wave If your worried that large accounts would then use Sending attacks and defense should be able to happen w/o sitters. Duals and Sitters should be for ID'ing incoming attacks, development of troops, and population. And before some get onĪnd say well that's what you need a dual or sitters for, sure but one account should be playable by one person If I could set a timer on an attack / defense wave When others do - it's just not going to happen. I am not going to get up at 3 am to send defense or an attack to land The reason I ask this is this will help with teamwork and allow casual gamers more Could the Dev's please consider adding a timer to attacks and defense.
